John Bowis MEP is the Conservative Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for London and the Conservative spokesman on the Environment, Health and Food Safety in the European Parliament.

In June 2004 he was re-elected to serve London in the European Parliament.

He serves on the Parliament's Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee as well as the Development Committee. He is the Spokesman (Coordinator) for the EPP-ED Group on the Environment/Health/Food Committee and also Vice-President of the African-Caribbean-Pacific/EU (ACP/EU) Joint Parliamentary Assembly.
