The IIF has produced four country reports for Mali, Mozambique, Nicaragua and Zambia. These reports highlight the problems that these countries face providing adequate access to insulin and diabetes care.

With support from the Diabetes Foundation the IIF has prepared a comparative report, which highlights similar challenges that are faced in the three countries in sub-Saharan Africa where it has worked.
The IIF has prepared a report entitled “Implementing national diabetes programmes in sub-Saharan Africa”. The aim of this report is to provide a “recipe” for health planners, clinicians and diabetes associations on how to implement national programmes to address the challenges of diabetes.
