The IIF views it role as informing different global stakeholders and the general public about the plight of people with Type 1 diabetes in developing countries.
For this purpose it works closely with the World Health Organization and International Diabetes Federation.
In addition the International Diabetes Federation has launched the “unite for diabetes” campaign which succeeded in obtaining a United Nations resolution on diabetes. More information can be found on www.unitefordiabetes.org.
